Caleb’s Post- Parc Güell

Caleb   /

11th Oct

Today, as we have been touring hard for 6 weeks, was a rest day. So we finally had a free morning, and in the afternoon a tour of Parc Güell. The free morning was nice, and I finished one of my books for the 7th time, but the real climax of the day came in the form of Parc Güell. Josh thought it was disappointing. Daniel thought it was bad, but they failed to see to the heart of Gaudi’s work. Gaudi’s masterful park was paradise! Although Gaudi was weird, and indeed in some cases, insane, his park cut through to the beauty of wavy lines, this park was all part of one colossal estate. Some of the park even included a school! In conclusion the Parc Güell is stunning although some people can’t see through to its beauty.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 five star rating of Park Güell

    Hi Caleb and Josh.
Have I mentioned how much I enjoy reading your blogs?
Although I’ve been to Barcelona three or four times, even with your quiet mornings you’ve seem more than me. When I was there in September 2000 with Grandma (the other times were on Oxfam business with little available sightseeing time), I was so tired of travelling I didn’t even go into the Sagrada and read the newspaper and drank coffee while Grandma went in (it was the time she discovered her fear of heights).
Caleb, although I don’t know about Gaudi being insane, anyone who designed his stuff was certainly weird, as were thos who agreed to build such eccentricities.
By now you’ll be cruising which Grandma and I hope that you are enjoying. I’ll try to find your cruise itinerary so I can follow your progress. I think I’ve found it – 12 days from Barcelona to Venice with Norwegian Spirit. If, as I recall. you’re on the Norwegian Star, I hope that you don’t get lost on what is a massive ship of 91,000 tonnes. With so many things to do, you won’t have time to go ashore! When you’re able, please tell us about it and what type of cabins you have. Caleb, you’ll no doubt be hanging out in the Roman Spa and Fitness Center. Only 14 dining options! How limiting that must be.
    Lots of love,

      Hi Grandpa, Josh here,

Yes, we are on our cruise. It’s awesome! We have oceanview staterooms, because we would have got inside cabins, but this was actually better value because it gave us the dining and drinks package. You have also found the right cruise itinerary, it is the 12 day Mediterranean to Venice. I am really enjoying my time here. We are going into Florence tomorrow, and maybe after that I will do a blog.
      Bye for now,
